San Pablo, California is located in West Contra Costa County. The City of San Pablo is nestled in between the cities of Pinole and Richmond and the surrounding cities of El Cerrito and Hercules. One of the oldest Spanish settlements in the region, it was originally home to the Ohlone Indians (also called Costanoan) and then claimed for the king of Spain in the late 1700s to be used for grazing purposes.
